I played ONLY Monastery Outlook with a new char, and I explored for a total of 0.8% (which leaves 21.9% for the rest of Shing Jea Island), since tyrian chars can explore a tiny bit of Monastery Outlook, I think the 22% guess is quite accurate.

*Update*
- Have tweaked some of the directions to obtain a few spots
- Added the dread Rule of 6 to post #3
- Added a bit concerning the Raisu Necrotic Traversal and the Eredon Terrace exploits to post #2
- Added a very important note to post #2 about comparing with my circled maps

Thanks for the Guide. I got Grandmaster for both Tyria and Cantha on my Ranger quite a while ago - the hard way - scraping walls! I tried Cantha with my Tyrian Warrior, and got up to 99.8%. No way could I get that last .2% in spite of being Banished, and double checking everything. Tried the Eredon exploit, and made the 100%.

I'm still having no luck with the banishing bussiness. I get banished and then returned back after like 10 seconds. It's really frustrating. My counter is at 99.5% and I'm having trouble getting that 0.1% to be exempt from TEH RULE.

Cataphract, have a look at the threads posted so far and then look at the maps posted. You will be able to find a lot of spots that you have missed this way and get the title. The areas that I had missed first time round were easily identified and then uncovered. If you haven't been to Jade Quarry yet, try to get a group and do it. That gave me quite a bit

Thing is I *do* look at the maps but I can't spot any differences. Guess my eye-soght isn't what it used to be.
I have explored the Jade Quarry when Livingston organised an explorer party couple of weeks ago.

Then you aren't following my guidelines for getting banished by Shiro.
You should only be going in with one other person. No henchies and no other people. Just one.
The only way that you can return after being banished is by entering the portal at the top of the mountain or if someone kills the Shiroken that has taken your place.
If you are only there to get banished and you are only going with one other person, then you need to tell that other person not to kill the Shiroken warrior. All they have to do is run off to one side of the map, away from the middle and they can stand there all day.
This really shouldn't be a problem for you at all if you follow my guidelines to a "T." But I don't think you have been, otherwise you would have it.
I will modify my guidelines to make it more clear that everything needs to be followed, not just part of it.

I have 2 computers so when I did this, I loaded my second account onto my laptop and left my necro there, she died even after I got banished, but I finished my exploration uninterrupted . In any case if Im online, pm me on either account and if Im able I'll be happy to login my second acct with high health and park them for you to explore.

I was reading through your changes and I noticed you refer to the Raisu Palace and Eredon Terrace exploits, but don't say what they are. Wouldn't it be good to include them as well?

Good?
Maybe...
As far as allowing people to have a cheap and easy way to get from 90% to 100% with little effort at all, yes it would be good.
As far as me hating that these exploits exist and thinking that they tarnish a title that's usually fairly difficult to get, then no I don't think it would be a good thing to do.
My guide is for those who want to "earn" the title themselves, but I have also added what's needed in order to get help with it, in the case that the player simply can not get it even with the guide. If people "really" have to resort to exploits to get the title, then they can at least put the effort in to find the threads that detail the exploits. They won't have to look hard.
A few things have come to my attention though, which may change this stance in the future.
When Nightfall is released, more than likely there will be few players left in Cantha, and even when the hype has died and people return to Cantha for whatever reasons, there will likely be a lot less people than there is now.
Jade Quarry is rather difficult for players to get into now, so it stands to bet that it will be even more difficult to get into after NF is released. If that proves to be the case, then I may include the Eredon exploit in my guide as an alternative to mapping the Quarry.
Until that time though, I think the fact that I mention them at all is more than good enough.

Livingston.. you couldn't possibly be bribed into "not-noticing" that my map is 0.1% short of reaching the exemption of the notoriuos 6 rule, could you?
I'm going crazy with checking maps.

Ah I see, I mentioned it because I thought it was an accidental omission, but it seems like the right thing to do given your reasoning.

*Update*
I have updated a bit of the info in post 3 concerning Shiro.
I no longer believe that hit points are what determines who Shiro will banish. Or if they are it is something other than simply having more than another player.
However, my solution still works and it's the only one that I haven't seen fail.

How much of the map is in the competitive missions? I got about.3-.4 out of Fort Aspenwood (total (including) both sides) but haven't manage Jade Quarry yet.

I agree with you that Shiro banishes the weakest, but while health isn't the only factor on being the weakest, it still matters. Which is why I recommend to try getting banished by changing the health before buying any extra armor for banishment only, because taking off +hp gear is free, but buying armor and runes isn't. Yeah, I'm a cheapskate. I have yet to see failure with the health solution when the difference between the players is around 150 hp or more, but maybe I've been lucky.
Anyway, what kind of tests did you do? Something with different ALs and health points? Any other factors?
